Directs and oversees the Program Management Office (PMO) for Live Oak Banking company and subsidiaries.   Responsible for the ongoing support, improvement, implementation, and management of Live Oak’s Program Office processes.    Effectively track and manage the budgets of the projects under the purview of the PMO.

PMO:   Develop and implement PMO processes and policies, direct the activities of direct and indirect project management staff, and work with other department leaders to define, prioritize, manage and develop projects and programs.    These activities include change management, release management, project performance measurement, project implementation and integration, refining standards and tools, and impact management.    Coordinate across IT, Dev, Ops, HR, Accounting, Marketing, Sales, Credit, Product and other areas of the company to ensure good communication and efficient delivery of outcomes.   Establish a regular cadence of reporting status of projects to executive management.  Relies on extensive experience in banking and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.   A wide degree of creativity and practicality is required.   Coach and mentor project management skills to LOB leaders and employees as needed.

Senior Program Manager:  Lead the coordination, execution and governance of strategic projects for the Product Development organization, spanning all product areas (i.e. lending, leasing, deposits and transaction banking).  Activities include creating and executing project plans, coordinating resources across the company, its subsidiaries and third party relationships, and driving successful outcomes.  

Cross-organizational influence and communication is critical for success in this role.  




  • Full accountability for strategic programs and PMO governance and success.  
  • Develop and manage the portfolio of projects under the PMO.
  • Communicate to leaders across LOB how projects are prioritized and a timeline/roadmap for all projects under the PMO.
  • Lead and communicate regular updates of programs and PMO activities to executive management.
  • Host ongoing project, program, steering and executive level meetings.
  • Manage initiatives and programs to ensure specified success criteria are met (i.e. on time, on budget).
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities as directed
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures


  • A Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Project Management certifications a plus


  • 10+ years in banking or financial services
  • Experience leading complex cross-org projects
  • Experience driving successful outcomes for strategic projects
  • Experience with digital banking, lending and deposit services a plus
